Early Years Programme

Peapods (18 months – 30 months)
Fostering Independence and expanding horizons

Our Peapods program is designed to harness the joy and excitement that accompanies turning two. Children develop language, increased attention span and greater physical capabilities in one fell swoop. We are here to provide the environment and program that matches and supports these newfound abilities. Our program helps children pursue and embrace greater autonomy and provides flexibility of choice. When our two-year-olds make choices and take appropriate risks, they begin to find their individual voices. Children are surrounded by interesting, relevant, and thought-provoking materials that spark creativity and prompt them to develop a vocabulary with which to communicate, make comments, and ask questions.

Sprouts (3 years)
Collaboration. Creativity. Community.

Our 3-year-olds are ready to reach new heights. They are beginning to form deeper bonds with their peers. They are developing ideas and expanding their understanding of the world through their experiences. Our program focuses on developing social skills, critical-thinking skills, and pre-academic skills. We believe that helping children develop the “soft skills” that are required for successful socialization and cooperation, lays the foundation for optimal success in school and beyond. Our inquiry-based approach helps our 3-year-olds develop all of these skills while embracing the wonderment central to the 3-year-old experience. Our children become problem finders as well as problem solvers. They develop grit and resilience through the course of the year as they learn to cooperate with others and practice the language that helps them navigate social situations.

  • Jr Kindergarten (5 years)

  • Sr Kindergarten (6 years)

Play-based academics. Deep friendships.
Joyful Learning Experiences.

Our Kindergarteners grow and learn in a print and literacy rich environment which has been thoughtfully designed to ignite their passion for reading, writing, and learning. Our individualized approach to literacy allows children to develop their language, literacy, and writing skills with an experience designed especially for them. Literacy assumes many forms in Kindergarten children “read” independently, listen to stories read aloud, participate in author studies, act out stories, create new endings for stories, and author their own stories.

During story time, there is a special emphasis placed on communication, collaboration, and perspective taking, as well as building vocabulary, making predictions, sequencing events and drawing inferences. Our Kindergarten library corners are well stocked with high quality books that reflect children’s interests. They are invitingly designed to encourage children to select books and read independently or together with a friend.

Forest School Programme

After School Forest Play (Ages 6-9 years old)

Our unique and one of a kind After School Forest Play is an all weather program (Rain or Shine)

Our program aims to educate children through child-led hands-on activities and learning, inspiring curiosity, creativity, teaching real-life skills, empowering children to develop confidence, build resilience and social skills.

This term we will be exploring:

  • How to use hand tools such as hammer, bows, saws, hand drills and whittling knives

  • How to tie knots and lashings to build shelters

  • Flora and fauna identification

  • Seasons and weather patterns

  • Environment and water conservation

Our team of experienced Forest School educators will support your child’s learning so that they become more confident, curious, capable and are taught to learn how to take safe risks in the forest through climbing, building and using real tools. They will also discover and learn about our natural environment and it’s fascinating wildlife.

We aim to build your child’s resilience, confidence and creativity by giving them space, trust, freedom of choice and prioritizing opportunities for self-initiated play.
